woah, i just finished doing bio as 4.1, which mrs tan suddenly told us was due tomorrow. all thanks to ying siu's friend, i managed to finish the worksheet, although i still have to check out the peptide bond thing, still not very sure... good thing is there's no cca tomorrow, so i don't have to polish my boots and worry about bio assignment like before. but this worksheet's really quite tough.

going out with squadmates tomorrow, probably to kbox. but i guess if we don't, then we'll probably just end up playing mahjong at someone's house. comp team having self-training till 1.30, so after that we can all go out together, squad outing, with a few people missing.

i was really shocked today when i heard that laura's mom had called her a slut, yes a SLUT, just for talking to a guy on the phone. like come on, who doesn't talk to guys? i talk to guys on the phone all the time. even if you don't want your daughter to talk to a guy on the phone, and you're unhappy that she did so despite knowing you would be angry, it's not a valid reason to call her a slut. it's kinda appalling that a mom would call her daughter a slut...

if my own mom called me slut, which i know will never happen, partly cos my mom never was, is not and never will be someone who even thinks of using such words, let alone thinking twice before letting the word come out of her mouth, and also cos i don't think i'm capable of doing something that will make my mom so mad at me that she'll call me that, but if she really called me that, i'd probably just walk out of the house. if someone else, like a friend or just some random stranger, called me that, i'd probably slap that person. i won't even waste time calling that person some other names that i don't want to be called.

ms yeo cheng yong always used to tell us, 'do unto others what you want others to do unto you'. so it means that if you don't want others to call you a slut, you shouldn't even be using the word in the first place.

well, i guess i don't have any right to interfere in others' family matters, but just a word of advice: you know, you should really stop coming down so hard on your daughter, cos one of these days, you never know, she might just decide to rebel...
