omg, i haven't been blogging for almost a week! for the past few days i've either been too busy or too lazy to blog, so now i shall just briefly recap on what i did:
friday:
there was no cca cos school ended at 12.15. went to bukit timah market for lunch with squadmates, then shaoting, angie, gengyu, sinying, waitiem and huiyee came over to play mahjong, and huiyee stayed for dinner cos she had no dinner at her aunt's place. and i cut huiyee's hair. frankly speaking i'm quite pleased with the results, although she says it's still too long. anyway it's only my second time cutting someone else's hair.
saturday:
went out with daddy and mummy and her friends, auntie evelyn, auntie linda, auntie mayling and auntie pheck miang, for lunch at velocity. we had jap food. then sat at spinelli for about 2 hours drinking coffee and chatting. although they kept trying to make me and cheryl talk, we really had nothing to talk about, so other than hi and happy new year, i don't think i said anything else to her. oh yes, she supports obama just like i do, so yeah, we had a small little conversation with the adults about america's election, and that was about it. after that we went to chinatown, cos it was too early to go to mummy's cousin's place. wanted to go and take a look at the tour packages there, but it was so crowded... then we went to sengkang, where mummy's cousin stays, for dinner. i think mummy's cousin should seriously bring his son to see a psychiatrist. i mean, he's 3, can't talk(not that he can't hear though), shows an unusual aloofness to his surroundings, and can't even call his parents. from what the psychologist said the other time when she came to our school for a talk, these are signs of autism. it's either the mom is ignorant, can't be bothered with her son or just refuses to admit the fact that her kid's not normal.
sunday:
went to church, but didn't go up to children's ministry to help, went for main service instead. then we went to west mall for lunch. the ice kachang there's nice! before lunch i went to TS to buy 太美麗, and now i know why it's so cheap. not because it's like, 2 years after the album came out, but because it's directly imported from china. but it doesn't matter, cos the quality's still quite good, and all the songs are in. it's cheap ok, $10.90 only!
monday:
no third lang, e-learning. reached home at about 3. slacked the whole day, only did the french homework in the night, and i didn't evne finish it. that's the good thing about e-learning, you get to slack. but i guess you can't do much except practice, since the teacher cannot start on a new chapter. did high jump for PE. high jump is super fun! and i realised that i cannot coordinate my left leg and my brain, cos i totally cannot jump on my left leg. and i need the pole to be up before i can do a proper jump. i got over the pole ok? we got a new PE teacher, cos ms yeo is finally going on maternity leave. waitiem doesn't really seem to like him, she claims he's very boring, but i think he's ok. and he praised my jump! he said 'ok, good' and i was happy for the rest of the lesson. i guess i'm quite easily contented in this sense. i think i'm best at sprints and high jump when it comes to track and field. i can't do anything else. i can't jump far, i don't have stamina, i can't throw far, but i'm bouncy and springy!
tuesday:
there was seminar presentation during IH, but seriously i didn't think it was very good. they relied so heavily on their script, which was in a notebook. who does things like that? then they get stumped by a lot of questions, and in the whole group, it seemed like only linkai and nettie knew what we were asking and knew what they were presenting. this serves as a learning point for my group: whatever we don't like about them, we cannot commit ourselves. got back our first unseen prose of the year, got 21/30. not bad for a start! (considering the fact that i am not known to do well for unseen, i got 17 this time for content) during class contact we were thinking of old songs to sing to the old people during CIP, and then shaoting started listing all these old songs, like 水调歌头，忘不了，夜来香，甜蜜蜜，月亮代表我的心, semi-old songs like 朋友，吻别，细水长流, and sam and jia yuin suggested we sing 彩虹 also, and then Potong Itik Angsa suddenly comes out, and munneru vaalibaa also. but it was a fun class contact time.
today:
no third lang again, came home at around 4, cos stayed back in school to take photos and to eat lunch. came home with huiyee, and although she didn't look that sick, she was kinda tired and sounded very exhausted. i guess life's hard as no.5 for comp team. huiyee, get well soon ok? remember to go see a doctor before it gets worse on saturday!
