YES FINALLY! SERGEANT!!!

POC was this afternoon, surprisingly it was not tiring at all, but more of fun to me. the officers were so nice to us today, and i think they were quite happy with our performance also. especially ma'am siti and sir calvin, since they spent the whole day last saturday training us for sergeant promotion.

so super happy just now, cos sir bao tian put on sergeant rank for me. sir bao tian's a very nice officer, one of the nicest to me, so i think everyone from AC and AD was quite happy to know that he was going to put on our ranks for us.

with the sergeant rank now, there's a heavier responsibility. i mean, people always go around and saying very jokingly, '哇，肩膀很重', although not literally, but still, there's a heaveir burden. and also like sir calvin said, now that we're sergeants, we need to set a good example for our juniors cos they'll be looking up to us and expecting us to show them a good example. we definitely cannot let anyone down, be it juniors or seniors. for me, i really have to start showing the juniors a good example by maintaining a high standard of discipline and not slacking, cos i'm very clear that i haven't been putting in 100% in trainings, sometimes not even 50%...

ok, enough about the serious and solemn part. it's so damn cool to be sergeant now, 连走路都有风lor, ok actually no, but just very 威风to wear the 3 stripes and walk around. today while taking photos everyone 拼命show off the sergeant rank that we worked so hard for. 拍照都要斜着来拍, to show rank... but too bad, the rank will be useless when we go back to corps, still end up as a mere private in our own corps. I HATE INTERNAL PROMOTION IN OUR CORPS, SO SLOW.

hmm... now i shall be philosophical before i end and say this line that i've been wanting to say since the start of this post: WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY - SPIDERMAN (or so i think it comes from there, but anyway...)

muahaha, feel so accomplished to still be able to say something like that at 12.29am when my eyelids are closing already... so 有成就感lor!
